Muziris Heritage Week Visit - November 20th As part of World Heritage Week, a group of 37 students from our Second year and 2 faculty members embarked on an enriching heritage trail on November 20th. The journey explored key landmarks of the ancient Muziris region, delving into its rich cultural and historical significance. The day began with a visit to the Paravur Jewish Synagogue, where students learned about Kerala's Jewish heritage and the conservation efforts undertaken to preserve this iconic structure. Next, the group explored the Paliyam Palace and Fort, a testament to Kerala's royal legacy and its pivotal role in the Muziris trade network. Finally, the trail concluded at Kottappuram Fort, offering insights into the strategic defense mechanisms of the region during colonial times. This educational excursion provided students with a profound understanding of the legacy of Muziris and the importance of preserving such heritage for future generations.
