The programme was inaugurated by Ms. Deepa IFS, CCF, central Forest Circle, Presided by Mr. S.V. Vinod, DFO Vazhachal. The program was orgnaised by Vazhachal Forest Division, Kerala Forest Department with support of UNDP - HRML Project. Western Ghats Hornbill Foundation center at MES Asmabi College provided Technical Support. The Flood impact study was conducted by Hornbill Foundation for Kerala State Biodiversity Board for the region also Dr. Amitha Bachan K H of Hornbill Foundation supported to the developement of  ecorestoration plan for the Working Plan of the Vazhachal Forest Division.
