A two days National conference was organized by MES Asmabi college, Kodungallur supported by Kerala State Higher Education Council. The programme started at 10.15 AM with official session with prayer. Dr. Ansar E B, secretary of National Conference welcomed the dignitaries and the students. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. M.K Jayaraj, Vice Chancellor, University of Calicut. The programme was chaired by Prof. Dr. A.Biju, Principal, MES Asmabi College and delivered the presidential address. He wished all the success to the coordinates and participants. Adv. Navas Kattakath, Secretary & correspondent, MES Asmabi college, Dr. Reena Mohammed, Vice principal, MES Asmabi college, Dr.Shafeer P S, IQAC Coordinator felicitated the gathering. The inaugural programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. K Kesavan, Head, Department of Aquaculture. 184 participants registered for the conference NCIATRI 2023. There were 7 plenary sessions, 2 non-academic sessions and 6 sessions for paper presentations. The first plenary session started at 10.45 with the welcome address Dr.Sheena P A, Head, Department of physics. The plenary talk delivered by honorable vice chancellor, university of Calicut Prof. Dr. M K jayaraj in the topic “Fabrication of metal oxide based memristive artificial synapses for neuromorphic computing applications” and he also appreciated the multidisciplinary topic chosen in the national conference. The session ended with vote of thanks by Mr.Mohammed Areej E.M, Head, Department of Biochemistry. The second plenary session started at 12.00pm with the welcome address by Dr.Dhanya PR, faculty, department of Aquaculture. The invited speaker session 2 was Dr.Manoj Komath, Scientist G, Biomedical Technology, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical,Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum. He focused on the topic Biomedical Research - Challenges and Scopes. 8 paper presentations were including in the second session. Dr.Manoj Komath chaired the session and Lovely Jacob Asecured the best presentation award. The session ended with vote of thanks by Ms. Nisha P K, faculty, Department of physics. In the post lunch session (session 3) started at 2.30 with the welcome address by Sri Shibu A nair, faculty, Department of Aquaculture. The invited speaker session 3 was Dr. Sabareeswaran A, Scientist G Biomedical Technology Wing, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology,Trivandrum. He covered the topic “Tissue Response to Materials in Medical Devices”. 9 paper presentations included in the session and participants presented their topics. Dr. Sabareeswaran A chaired the session and Sumitha Thomas secured the best presentation award. The session concluded with vote of thanks by Ms.Sreelakshmi T P, faculty, Department of Aquaculture. The fourth session of NCIATRI – 2023 was held in the seminar hall on 8/2/2023. The session started at 2.00 pm with the welcome address by Lathif Penath, Head, Department of Psychology. The plenary talk of the session was on “Recent Trends & Application In Psychology” by Dr Soumya Starlet C T, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Prajyoti Niketan College Pudukkad. This was followed by paper presentations. There were 17 paper presentations in that session. Twenty six students from the college presented their works. The session was chaired by Farhana Nasar k , Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology and Avani K Devadas, Kiblath Divan and Nijayas Prasad secured the best paper award. Dr Ansar Assistant Professor and Department of Chemistry proposed the vote of thanks and the programme came to an end at 4.30 pm.
