29 students of III Yr. Aquaculture (2019 Admission batch) visited the Model shrimp and fish farm at Poyya. The farm run by the Department of Fisheries ,Govt. of Kerala is located in Poyya, Kodungallur Taluk, Thrissur. The farm has several nursery and culture ponds where the farming of Pearl spot, milkfish and GIFT Tilapia is active. In addition to this there is seed production of Pearl spot going on in the hatchery. The students where accompanied to the Hatchery by Dr. Kesavan K and Dr. Dhanya P R.
