The program was organized by the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai, in collaboration with the Centre for Tribal and Natural History Studies (TNHS) of Western Ghats Hornbill Foundation at the Research Department of Botany, MES Asmabi College. The program was to get opinions and develop a Policy and Advocacy Note to the Government of Kerala as per their request to TISS, Mumbai. Dr. Geethanjoy Sahu, Assistant Professor, Centre for Science, Technology and Society, TISS made the Keynote, and Dr. Amitha Bachan KH, Assistant Professor, TNHS & Research Department of Botany MES Asmabi College made the plenary talk.
