31 students of III yr Aquaculture took an Industrial Visit to K M Fisheries, Sea food Processing firm on 18/3/22. They were accompanied by Dr. Dhanya P R and Dr. Kesavan K. The students arrived in the plant at 9:30 AM. The visit was guided by Mr. Shaji, Manager of the sea food firm. They visited the ice plant, pre-processing and processing sections, QC lab. They have had the opportunity to study and practice the plant hygiene practices, wear the processing uniform and undergo the various activities, including raw material handling, types of freezers etc. The six-hour visit was highly useful to understand the various methods of seafood processing.
