On November 7, 2024, the Department of Botany, in collaboration with the Bhoomithrasena Club, Green Initiatives, and IEDC of MES Asmabi College, conducted a terrarium-making workshop. Forty-eight students participated in this hands-on session, learning how to create miniature gardens using waste glass bottles. Led by Dr. Alfred Joe, an expert in terrarium-making, the workshop emphasized sustainability, upcycling, and the environmental benefits of indoor greenery. Participants gained practical skills in selecting and arranging plants, preparing substrates, and maintaining terrariums. The workshop successfully promoted creativity, waste reduction, and sustainable indoor gardening practices, encouraging students to incorporate eco-friendly habits into their lifestyles.
