As part of field trip, on November 5, 2024, 37 BSc Botany students, accompanied by four faculty members, visited the Botanical Garden at Calicut University. The visit provided students with a hands-on learning experience about plant diversity, ecological systems, and conservation techniques. A guided tour by a field officer introduced students to various plant species, including orchids, ferns, bonsai, ginger varieties, and gymnosperms. Additionally, students explored specialized plant houses, trekked through a jungle path, and studied water plants and medicinal herbs. This immersive educational experience strengthened their understanding of plant biodiversity, ecological relationships, and conservation strategies.
