As part of the curriculum for the B. Voc. Fish Processing Technology program, a mandatory industrial visit was organized for third-semester students. This visit aimed to provide practical exposure to the fish processing industry and enhance our understanding of real-world applications in the fishery sector. The visit was conducted on 6th December 2024 to SLS Exports, a leading seafood export company located in Edakochi, Ernakulam. A total of 21 students participated in the industrial visit, accompanied by two faculty members, Ms. Sabna K.A. and Ms. Sreelakshmi T.P. The journey commenced from MES Asmabi College, P. Vemballur, at 8:45 AM, and we reached SLS Exports at 10:30 AM. We spent two hours exploring various stages of fish processing and export operations.
