The webinar was conducted by the Department of Psychology, as part of day observation of Suicide prevention based on the theme “Creating Hope through Action”. The session was led by Mr. Suni M.S, Clinical Psychologist, MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna. The session started with a welcome speech by Dr.Amitha P Mani, Joint Coordinator, IQAC, MES Asmabi college. The aim of the webinar was to make the general population aware of the role of social support and interventions for the persons who are going through any kind of psychological issues. The session tried to enlighten on how important it is to be aware of early warning signs, the social support system, and creating a hope in a person’s mind etc. The session was extremely enlightening one. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Lathif Penath, HoD, Dept.of Psychology.
