An alumni interaction session was organized by the Department on 27-09-2024 for the benefit of the final-year students who are currently preparing for their upcoming internship programme. The session featured an engaging interaction with an alumnus, Ms. Hiba Navas from the 2021 admission batch, who is presently employed as an Online Quality Controller at Mangala Seafoods. Drawing from her own professional journey and current role in the seafood industry, the alumnus shared valuable insights into the expectations and responsibilities of industry professionals, especially in the domain of quality control and online inspection processes. The session provided the students with practical tips on how to approach their internships, the importance of technical knowledge, soft skills, and work ethics, and how to make the most of their industry exposure. The alumni’s experiences helped bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications, giving students a clearer picture of career paths in the aquaculture and seafood processing sectors. The interaction was well-received by the students, who actively participated by asking questions and seeking guidance for their career preparation.
