The workshop followed a peer teaching methodology, where senior students took the lead in training their juniors in the fundamentals of camera and mobile photography, as well as editing techniques. The session commenced with a welcome address by Sunaina M Nazar, Head of the Department, who emphasized the significance of practical learning and collaboration in media education. She highlighted how peer teaching enhances understanding and fosters a strong learning community within the department. The workshop was facilitated by senior students Krishna AB, Sree Vishnu KS, and Ramshad PR, who served as resource persons. They covered various aspects of photography, including: Basics of camera handling and settings Composition techniques for impactful images Mobile photography tricks and applications Editing tools and software for refining images The interactive session allowed students to engage in hands-on practice with cameras and mobile devices, applying the techniques demonstrated. Participants also received real-time feedback from the resource persons, improving their skills through practical exercises. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of around 50 students from all three years of the Mass Communication program. The peer teaching approach not only provided technical knowledge but also fostered a spirit of mentorship and collaboration among students. The workshop concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students clarified their doubts and discussed creative approaches to photography and editing. The event was highly appreciated by the attendees for its engaging format and practical learning experience. Capture the Moment – Learn Together successfully achieved its objective of equipping students with essential photography and editing skills while encouraging peer learning and teamwork. The session reinforced the department’s commitment to experiential learning and skill development in media education.Â
