As part of the curriculum and experiential learning program, 33 final-year B.Sc. Aquaculture students from MES Asmabi College, P. Vemballur, undertook a study tour to two prestigious national research institutes in Goa — the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Vasco Da Gama and the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Dona Paula. The study tour, conducted on 20th and 21st January 2025, aimed to expose students to cutting-edge research, technological advancements, and career opportunities in the fields of aquaculture, fisheries, oceanography, and polar research. The student team was accompanied by Dr. Kesavan K, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Aquaculture, Smt. Sreelakshmi T P, Assistant Professor in B.Voc. Fish Processing Technology, and Mr. Mohammed Areej E M, Assistant Professor in Biochemistry
