Report: "Bridging Boundaries: Science Inspiring Art" The PG Department of Physics in association with the college PTA organized a panel discussion on "Bridging Boundaries: Science Inspiring Art" on January 29, 2025. The discussion explored the scientific aspects of music, painting, and photography. The panel featured Prof. George S. Paul (Art critic and Visiting Professor at Kerala Kalamandalam), Dr. Unnikrishnan Pulikkal (Founder and President of PhotoMuse Museum) and Mr. Sudheesh Peepiy (Watercolorist and International award winner). Dr. Sanand S. Sadanand, Assistant Professor of Political Science, served as the moderator. Key topics included the historical connection between science and various art forms, the scientific principles behind different artistic expressions, and the role of modern technologies and AI in the evolution of art. During the discussion, Prof. George S. Paul highlighted that music is purely based on physics, explaining its foundation in sound waves, frequencies, and resonance. Dr. Unnikrishnan elaborated on the role of light in photography, emphasizing its impact on composition, exposure, and visual storytelling. Mr. Sudheesh discussed the significance of color, material, and light in painting, providing a live demonstration to illustrate their effects on artistic expression. Seventy-five students participated, actively engaging in the discussion. College Principal Dr. Reena Mohamed P M, PTA vise President Pradeepkumar, Department HoD        Ms. Soumya S felicitated the program, appreciating the insightful discussions and the interdisciplinary approach to art and science.
