Report on Hands-On Training: Operating an Astronomical Telescope and Observing the Sun As part of the Space Week celebration organized by the Department of Physics at MES Asmabi College on 14 August 2023, a hands-on training session was conducted to educate participants on operating an astronomical telescope and observing the Sun. Mr. Jiswin Varghese, Asst. Professor led the session Objectives: The training session aimed to: Provide practical experience in using an astronomical telescope. Educate participants about safe methods for solar observation. Foster interest in astronomy and observational techniques among students and the community. The session was highly interactive, with 45 participants actively involved in the setup and operation of the telescope. They had the opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized guidance on handling and maintaining telescopes.
