On 12/11/24, a group of students and faculty visited the Kodungallur Musris , a site known for its rich heritage and cultural and trade significance. The visit began with a guided tour through various exhibits showcasing ancient artifacts, traditional artwork, and historical documents. Our guide provided detailed explanations of the cultural evolution and historical events that shaped the community, making the experience both informative and engaging. One of the highlights of the visit was a section dedicated to local art, culture and trade, where visitors could learn about traditional skills passed down through generations. Additionally, we had the opportunity to interact with some of the centre's cultural experts, who shared insights into the preservation efforts and ongoing research in the field of local history. The centre also hosts regular workshops and cultural performances, which we were encouraged to participate in for a more immersive experience. The visit to the Historical and Cultural Centre was both educational and inspiring, providing a deeper understanding of the region’s cultural heritage. It not only enriched our knowledge of history, trade and culture  but also fostered a sense of appreciation for the diverse cultural traditions that have shaped the community. We left the centre with a greater appreciation for the importance of preserving our cultural and historical legacy for future generations.
