Organized a screening of the short documentary The Madhouse for third-year BSc Psychology students. The documentary provided an in-depth look into the history and challenges of psychiatric institutions, highlighting ethical concerns and the stigma associated with mental illness. Following the screening, a guided discussion was held where students critically analyzed the themes presented in the film. Topics such as the evolution of mental health care, societal attitudes, and ethical dilemmas in psychiatric treatment were explored. The session provided an opportunity for students to engage in meaningful dialogue, connect theoretical knowledge with real-world implications, and reflect on the progress and challenges in mental health care. The event successfully enhanced students’ understanding of historical and contemporary mental health issues, fostering critical thinking and awareness.
