On 25th February 2025, a group of 15 students and 2 teachers from the Department of Mathematics visited Ashrayam Old Age Home in Kodungallur as part of a social outreach initiative. The visit was aimed at spending quality time with the elderly residents and providing them with a home-cooked meal. The students actively engaged with the elderly by interacting with them, listening to their experiences, and sharing moments of joy. Various activities such as storytelling, singing, and casual conversations helped create a warm and friendly atmosphere. The residents expressed their happiness and appreciation for the visit. The visit was an enriching experience for both the students and teachers. It instilled a sense of empathy, responsibility, and the importance of giving back to society. The students expressed their willingness to organize similar visits in the future to continue contributing to the well-being of the elderly.
