On September 10, 2023, the NSS unit of MES Asmabi College organized a "Scrap Challenge" as a unique fundraising program aimed at supporting various social service initiatives. The challenge involved students, faculty, and local community members collecting and donating scrap materials such as old newspapers, plastics, metals, and electronic waste. The collected scrap was then sold to recycling centers, with the proceeds directed towards funding community service projects, including educational support for underprivileged children and healthcare initiatives for the needy.
