Gandhi Jayanti Week Celebration - "Cleaning Drive"-2023 On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti Week, a special event was organized on October 5, 2023, at Government L.P. School  P. Vemballur. This event, named the "Cleaning Drive," was a collaborative effort by the Research and PG Department of Botany, Bhoomithrasena Club, and Green Campus Initiatives. The primary objective was to promote environmental awareness and cleanliness in the local community. The "Cleaning Drive" was a significant initiative that brought together 22 enthusiastic first-year BSc Botany students who were eager to contribute to their community and follow the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was coordinated by Shemi C B and Dr. Jisha K C, who played pivotal roles in organizing and managing the activities. It was a successful event that effectively promote environmental awareness and cleanliness in the spirit of Gandhi Jayanti Week. The dedication of the coordinators, and participants contributed to making the event a meaningful and impactful endeavor, aligning with the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and his vision for a cleaner and more sustainable world.Green initiatives directly contribute to protecting and preserving the environment.
