Department of Physics MES Asmabi College organized a National Conference on Light Matter Interaction and Spectroscopy (NCLMIS 2024) on 25th March 2024. The organizing committee was Dr. Sheen P.A ( HoD) and Dr.Ebitha Eqbal ( Assistant Professor).The Programme was inaugurated by the College Vice Principal Dr. Reena Mohammed. The invited speakers for the conference were Dr. Anoop K.K, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, CUSAT and Dr. Mohamed Ameen, Assistant Professor, International School of Photonics, CUSAT. The talk given by Dr.Anoop K.K was “ Laser Induce Breakdown Spectroscopy: A Versatile Tool For Space Exploration”. The talk given by Dr. Mohamed Ameen was “Introduction to Computational Photonics”. After invited talks oral and poster presentations from various colleges were done. Best oral presentation award was given to Manjusha Rose Jose, Research Scholar, St. Thomas College, Thrissur. Best Poster presentation award was given to Megha Unnikrishnan, MSc Student, St.Pauls College, Kalamassery.
