The second phase of restoration of sacred groves and ponds has started in Sree Narayanapuram Panchayath. 10 sacred groves and 5 ponds are included in the project as part of biodiversity conservation and coastal ecosystem restoration. The Biodiversity Management Committee of the Panchayath and MGNREGA scheme in collaboration with CEtC centre of Hornbill Foundation at MES Asmabi College campus jointly implemented this programme
