As a part of green initiative, Dept. of Mathematics & Statistics jointly organized ‘Harithabham’ and conducted the following programmes.    1.‘Harithasouhrutham’- plant exchange among students on 3rd March 2023.  Harithasouhrutham was conducted on 3rd March 2023, in which Dept. of Mathematics HOD- Nasreen A, other faculties of the department Fahadali P H, Sabeena P A & Dept. of Statistics HOD- Keerthana S V and 40 students from 1st & 2nd year BSc Mathematics participated & exchanged plants among themselves as a part of green initiative and planted in their home garden.  2.‘Terrace Farming’- a talk on Terrace Farming and experience sharing by Fahadali P H, Faculty in dept. of Mathematics, MES Asmabi College, P Vemballur on 7th March 2023.   A talk on Terrace Farming by Fahadali P H, Faculty in dept. of Mathematics, MES Asmabi College, P Vemballur was conducted on 7th March 2023, in which department faculties Sabeena P A, Keerthana S V & 21 students from 2nd year BSc Mathematics participated. The resource person presented a PPT on the topic and explained various methods of terrace farming and shared his experience and some photos of his own vegetable garden on terrace. The class was very much effective and students were motivated to make a vegetable garden of their own at home.
