To provide awareness on coastal ecorestoration and management by involving the local community was the major agenda of the programme. A sensitisation workshop was conducted after developing a draft profile of the ecosystem and biodiversity in the SN puram Grama Panchayat. The workshop was held at the MES Asmabi college on 30th March 2021. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Asma V M, Head of the Department of Botany, in the auspicious presence of Shri. M.S. Mohanan, President SN puram Grama Panchayat. Dr. Martin Gopurathingal, Dr. KH Amitha Bachan and Adv. Alphonsa Jojan of Western Ghats Hornbill Foundation was the resource person.
