Two day National Seminar on "Current Literary Trends in English" was jointly organized by the PG & Research Department of English, MES Asmabi College, P. Vemballur, and the Kerala State Council of Higher Education, Thiruvananthapuram on December 19th and 20th 2023.  On the first day after the inaugural ceremony, two plenary sessions and five parallel paper presentation sessions were there.   Dr. Kalyani Vallath, Managing Director, Vallath Educational Private Limited, Thiruvananthapuram, inaugurated the seminar. Dr. A Biju,  Principal, Dr. Sheena P A, Dr. Reena Mohamed Vice Principal, Dr. K P Sumedhan, Director of Self Financing Courses,  Dr. K H AmithaBachan, NAAC Coordinator Dr. Amitha P. Mani, Seminar Convenor and Dr. Sanand Sadanandan, Staff Secretary spoke during the inaugural ceremony.
