Signing MoU on PBR Updation and Coastal Ecosystem Restoration Phase III, Supported by Kerala State Biodiversity Board, to BMC SNPuram Grama Panchyath Triparty agreements were signed between the SN Puram Gama Pancyath, , Centre for Ecology Taxonomy and Climate Change (CEtC) of the Western Ghats Hornbill Foundation, and MES Asmabi College for two important action research projects to safeguard the environment and involve the community. 1. Ecorestoration of Coatal Ecosystesm Phase III and 2. Updation of the Peoples Biodiverity Register (PBR) The MoUs signed were handed over by Mr. MS. Mohanan, President of SN Puram Grama Panchayth, to Dr. Reena Mohammed, Vice Principal of the college, in the presence of Dr. Amitha Bachan K.H., Principal Investigator, Dr. T.P. Girija, HoD Department of Botany, and Ms. Devika M. Nailkumar, Ecorestoration Programme Coordinator of the niche-specific ecological restoration project. These agreements are part of the larger multistakeholder-linked project "IUCN Status Assessment and Niche Ecological Resotration of Thretened Species and Ecosystems," launched in 2021.
