As a part of the e waste disposal drive of M E S Asmabi College and Swatch Bharath Mission of SN Puram Grama Panchayath, the Department of Finance collected e waste from Pathiyassery, ward 17 of SN Puram Grama Panchayath on 28/02/2023. The students from I UG and II UG  along with the teachers of the department, Shiji T S, Dhini K V, Krishnapriya M and Sruthi P S have participated in the event. Ninety Students actively involved in the programme. The ward member Mr K A Ayyub informed all the families about the E waste collection through the whatsapp group of the ward. The Students gathered at the rendezvous point near Pathiyassery junction at 9 30 am. The ward member Mr. K A Ayyub reached the destination on time and gave instructions about the geographical features of the ward.  The collection started around 10.00 am after dividing the groups into five. The ward comprised of 720 houses. The students collected scraps of Washing Machine, LCD TV, computer monitor, emergency lamp, switch boards, chargers, mobile phones, fans and other electronic items. Most of the families co-operated and was happy to deliver the scraps.  The collection was completed around   12.30 pm and the group was dispersed after giving small refreshment. The enthusiastic involvement of the students and teachers made the programme extremely successful.
