Report of Two-Day Residential Workshop on Homecare Products on 4& 5 October 2024

The Research Department of Commerce and the Commerce IEDC of MES Asmabi College, P. Vemballur, organized a two-day residential workshop on the production of homecare products, which took place on the 4th and 5th of October 2024 at the Centre for Alternative Learning, Chalakudy. The workshop focused on teaching participants how to make various homecare items such as soap, detergent powder, floor cleaner, Lysol, Pril, Vim gel, hand wash, dish wash, multipurpose wash, and cloth wash.

This hands-on workshop provided valuable practical skills, fostering innovation and promoting entrepreneurial opportunities. The event was overseen by Dr. Reena Mohamed P M, Principal of MES Asmabi College, and guided by Ms. Chithra P, Head of the Department of Commerce. Dr. Princy Francis, IEDC Nodal Officer, played a key role in providing insights into entrepreneurship development, while student coordinators Azin Thaj and Saeruban C S ensured smooth execution. The initiative was a collaborative effort supported by the Kerala Startup Mission, the Institution’s Innovation Council, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of MES Asmabi College.
